What to Expect

Environment

Our worship environment is casual and welcoming—no need to dress up, either literally or metaphorically. Come as you are!

Service Elements

While there is no static form to our worship services, they typically include: worship music, lighting three candles symbolizing the presence of the Trinity (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) with us, a call to worship read from scripture, a sermon, communion and a closing benediction.

Kids on Sundays

We have some great options for your kids during the worship service! You can read more about it here.

Communion

We take communion (otherwise known as the Eucharist or the Lord’s Supper) every week, and the table is open to all who desire to gratefully receive the grace offered by Jesus. Children’s participation is entrusted to the leadership of their caregivers.

Worship Leadership

Much of our church body participates in various leadership roles during services, so expect to regularly see new faces reading, welcoming and preaching. We gratefully receive one another’s gifting and wisdom, while maintaining a lot of grace for informality and honest self-offering.

Our Sermons

Our desire to know God together in honesty and love requires relational authenticity, even (and especially) from the pulpit. Restricting access to previous sermons creates safety for those who preach—whether pastors, elders, or lay leaders—and enables them to communicate God’s word boldly, vulnerably, and contextually.

These few sermons will give you a taste of our services, but the best way to get to know us is to come worship with us!
